"Try a Trade" Brick and Block Laying 
Applications are now being taken!
Round 1, 2010: Tuesday 15 June to Friday 18 June 2010.
Students interested in participating in the first "Try-a-Trade" for 2010 can collect an application form from the Career Development Centre. ALL Applications must be returned to the Careers office by WEDNESDAY 26 May 2010. Due to the limited number of placements available, some applicants may be shortlisted for the next round.

About...
Conducted by an experienced tradesperson and funded by the BCITF (no cost to parents/students), students undertake a project across the four day period and are introduced to some basic skills of the trade. Each participant will be presented with a Certificate of Participation at the completion of the program (please note, this Certificate does not serve as a credit toward any future courses of study).

Comet Bay College staff and students would like to take this opportunity to thank the organisers of these events for their much valued time and effort in making these programs available to our students. The programs provide a great opportunity for our students to experience first hand some of the aspects of these trades. The students thoroughly enjoy the experience, with some wanting to participate again and again!
